Caption: Fear of a Female Wonk. Senator Warren, some say you have too many plans. That's … kind of a job. Yes, but people want a President they can have a beer with. I'm drinking an IPA right now! Yes, but aren't you often angry? I'm fighting for fair - Yes, but by threatening to tax the super-rich, aren't you afraid of alienating moderates? I don't think - Yes, but haven't you lost your proletariat street cred by being, like, a successful professional lady? I founded the consumer - Yes, but have you ever worked in a steel mill hand-forging battle swords to rend asunder the loins of the bourgeoisie? Ok, thanks everyone!

Caption: Populism vs. Populism. A term that used to mean of the people is thrown around a lot these days. Populist leaders like Trump are on the rise. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders are running populist campaigns. Let's break this down, shall we? Trump populism. Authoritarianism. Patriarchy. Theocracy. Power to bosses. Warren/Sanders Populism. Democracy. Equality. Separation of church and state. Power to workers. yes. They're total opposites. We're using the same word to talk about the problem and the solution ... making the news awfully confusing. I consider myself a populist. You mean like AOC or neo-Nazis? Will populism defeat populism in 2020? Stay tuned!

Caption: Candidate Time Machine. Yes, the GOP is waging total war on Democracy, but I'll reach across the aisle like it's 1992! Die. I am tall, skinny, and youthful, and if you squint hard enough, you can pretend it's 2008 and I'm Barack Obama. Yeah, the average Trump voter had an income around $70,000 and was pretty much a soft, Viagra-popping suburban dad. But I will win those white working-class guys in diners from 2016! We represent the year 2064, when America finally listens to w - And that's the latest from the campaign trail! Back to you, Bob!

Caption: A Fool to Rule. Many Americans seem to relate to presidents who are plutocratic and dumb. He governs from the guy. I like that. He may be crude. But he's tough! Meanwhile, when an actual smart person runs for office … Climate change is an inconvenient truth. Smug know-it-all. The system is rigged to benefit the 1%. Li'l miss fancy facts! Clearly the candidate we need is a wonk who acts stupid. Don't need no brain to know universal healthcare good! It's the only way forward. Yeah, I got a feeling deep in my bowels that we need. Braaap! A Green New Deal! He's real. I'm votin' for him! Ask me about my meatballs.

Caption: What is the Center, anyway? It usually means Halfway between two parties … Party A is pro-poodle and and Party B is pro-pizza. If only a brave centrist would bring us poodle pizzas … no matter how stupid that is. What if the center meant helping the middle class? Howard Schultz should take a cue from Warren and be more of a centrist. Or scientific consensus? We must address climate change now! What a sensible moderate! Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez. Or defending the core American value of Democracy? H.R.I. Dem bill protects voting rights. Now that's totally centrist!

Caption: Billionaire Buttinsky. I like Elizabeth Warren or Kamala Harris for 2020. I just want someone who will fix healthcare. Ahem! Billionaire in the house! I'm a brave, bipartisan independent. Let's get this non-party started! Think of my dollars as IQ points. From my penthouse window, I can see what people need, and it's not universal health care or reduced inequality. It's me! Everything else is just revenge politics. Hey, where'd they go? Okay, I'm voting for whoever will end the system that created that guy!

Caption: Table the Label. I like Elizabeth Warren. So you're a leftist. And I thought voting for Hillary in general election was absolutely necessary. Oh, so you're neoliberal. And I support Scandinavian-style democracy. Wait - you're a Socialist. And I think people who gripe about "political correctness" are being tools of the right. Ah, a social justice warrior. Do you have to put all of my views a box? Oh, you neosocialeftlibjustors are all alike.

Caption: The nation's most closely-watched senate race illustrates perfectly the political divide in this country. Here's a handy guide to help low-informed swing voters in Massachusetts! Elizabeth Warren. Badass Harvard professor, started consumer financial protection bureau. Amateur politician. Predicted collapse of the middle class. Would kick Wall Street's behind. Scott Brown. Former male model, extremely proud of his truck. Puts the "ick" in slick. Assisting collapse of the middle class. Kisses Wall Street's behind. Duh ... I still DUNNO!

Caption: Slowpoke. Asterisky Business. The GOP isn't too crazy about Elizabeth Warren, a doffed consumer advocate, running the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. We prefer our own candidate, Mr. Feinprint. Hullo! You may already know him from his work in bank statements and pharmaceutical ads. GlactaBank(tm) No-fee checking.* Oblivinol(tm) 500mg.** *Excludes fees. ** May cause projectile incontinence. Aw, shucks! Thank you, Senator Perkins, for that wonderful introduction. I would love to help consumers* by making their credit card bills and mortgages easier to understand.** *i.e., destroy then. **For speakers of Mohican. From now on, all the statements shall be written in this Algonquin dialect. When questioned, most Americans aren't that concerned about who heads the bureau. I don't have time to read up on Feinprint, but I'm sure he's okay!
